Have you ever seen Nissans "The Run" video, where they only used 14 different cameras to film a run of the Nissan 350Z over a 5.7mile span across the city of Prague. Its quite impressive if you haven't seen it be sure to check this link. How about the BMW mini series of ads back in 2000 entitled "The Driver" which featured Clive Owen.
Well if you somehow missed BMW's $25,000,000 mini series you can check them out Right Here. Some of them are pretty Epic whilst a few aren't that cool and pretty much just suck. In a similar move, Audi, decided they would give the video mini series a go and got Justin Timberlake as their star for "The Next Big Thing". Its all in an attempt to promote their new line, the A1, no it has nothing to do with steak sauce. Unlike BMW, Audi's mini series has one plot that spans 6 episodes, similar to the 6 episode prequel of Alan Wake that just recently came out. Even though they only have 3 episodes out right now, i must saw i am not impressed, but i will hold all final decisions until its complete. The main reason i dont feel it can compete with BMW's ad series is that the driving in Audi's ad just seems too fake and almost CG. You really feel as though Clive Owen is pulling off all those stunts in his various BMW's, whereas JT just doesn't persuade you that he is driving, maybe its the acting, or maybe its the directing, it just doesn't do the Audi justice. By now im sure you want to see what i mean so check out the first three parts of Audi's mini series below, and for more on the A1 visit Audi's website. Part 4 will air on 5/25, Part 5 on 6/01 and Part 6 on 6/08. So check back for the rest of the story...
