Eee keyboard... its a keyboard, its a computer, no its both.
Sorta like the old Comidore PCs where the computer was built-in under the keyboard, but was very large. The new Asus keyboard, is a net-top, that delivers a sleek design as well as performance to match. Featuring Intel's Atom N270 processor, 1 GB of DDR2 RAM, a 16 GB SSD, a 5-inch 800 x 480 LED multi-touch display, and Windows XP Home. The device also provides 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Gigabit LAN, Bluetooth 2.1, HDMI out, VGA out, UWB receiver for wireless playback of video and audio content on a monitor or TV, and 3x USB 2.0 ports. Its Certainly not the best Netbook or Nettop out there but its definitely different. With its wireless HD output, it would be perfect for an HTPC setup. The built in touch screen could have huge potential for media control as well as other functions. The memory is a little bit week for todays market as well as the fairly small SSD. With the price tag of $599, it would be a safe bet that you could probably find another cheaper route for an HTPC that would outperform this, even if you had to buy an additional remote like one of the Logitech Harmony solutions, which you wouldn't have to plug in to charge nearly as often. This should be shipping out this friday, and hands on tests will reveal its true potential.
