May 3rd- May 19th, yes only 16 days of Reach. wow what a short beta period, thats the worst news i've heard in a while, i was expecting this for at least a month, i guess Bungie really must have a fairly fine tuned machine already. There will be different playlist and maps available at different times during this short period, so make sure you get on everyday or so to get the full Reach experience.
"When players boot up their copy of ODST on Monday 3rd they will have access to the "Arena mode" (4v4 ranked Team Slayer), a Free-For-All playlist and also some "Grab Bag" playlists - which include a mix of classic and new game types.
The two unique modes won't be available on day 1, with "Invasion" - Spartans vs. Elites - set to be turned on sometime during May 7th and the "Generator Defense" game type seeing the light of day on May 14th."
The good news, other than the fact were just a few days away from some greatness, anyone who logs on and plays atleast one full game during the beta will unlock a Halo Reach avatar hoodie! i believe you must access Halo Waypoint (the free download) to attain the hoodie. Also there is a free XBL weekend for Halo starting May 14th @ 8pm and ending the same time on May 17th. Finally to those with an ODST disc, sign on today, April 29th, and check out the beta introduction, not sure if its any more than just a couple of paragraphs of text about the game but ill have to check it out later...
