Infinity Ward vs. Activision Part 2

Well since the firing of the two studio heads at IW for whatever reason Activision  had, and there whole legal situation which is still going on. With the count now up to 26 employees that have left IW because of this mess, many if not close to all who have joined Respawn. Many of the employees at IW that are still there, and several that have left have started up there own law suit against IW for $54 Million in Royalties owed. They are also seeking between $75-500 Million in Punitive Damages. Their lawsuit is based on Activisions inability to pay all of them their royalties for delivering Modern warfare 2 on time which is a breach of their contract, breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, and a violation of the Califonian labor code.

Plaintiffs claim that Activision "made a calculated, purposeful and malicious decision" to withhold earned bonuses "in an attempt to force employees of Infinity Ward to continue to work at a job that many of them did not want just so Activision could force them to complete the development, production and delivery of Modern Warfare 3."

From everything i know about this, which is not the whole truth, many details have yet to come to surface until their court dates, I cant even imagine how Activision could make such a stupid mistake like this that would obviously have such horrendous repercussions. They are totally out of line. Perhaps the initial firings of the two studio heads was justifiable but denying royalties to everyone at IW is just plain wrong and i hope they get whats coming to them. It also sounds like IW might be getting shut down after the next map pack because of this whole situation. I just hope its not years before we see the first Respawn title surface, whether its MW3 or something else, either way its going to be epic!
